Óptica Cuántica ITESM

The Quantum Optics Laboratory of ITESM (Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey) aims to conduct research on quantum optical information, generate human resources of the highest scientific quality and raise social awareness about quantum technologies.

Research topics encompass fundamentals of optics and photonics; generation, production and use of non-classical light; metrology systems using structured light and photon engineering. Our work considers theoretical, experimental and engineering development.

Recent work

Infrastructure

We have the necessary equipment for the generation and characterization of structured light, both in amplitude, phase and polarization. For the generation of structured light we have several types of spatial light modulators (SLM and DMD). For characterization we have polarimeters and wavefront sensors.
